It Is Not late, You Can Find Laughter and Joy In Your Old Age

I remember how Abraham gave the name Isaac to the son Sarah bore him.
And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac. Genesis 21:3
Sarah said, “God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.” Genesis 21:6

Think about laughter you’ve heard in the past few days. Maybe unbridled laughter of joy, or a bitter laughter of heartache. Maybe warm laughter with a dear friend, a mocking laugh, or the you-either-laugh-or-cry kind of laugh.

Laughter can communicate a lot.

It was unbelievable and Abraham laughed at the thought of his having a child after a century on this planet
Then Abraham bowed down with his face to the ground and laughed as he said to himself, “Can a son be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Can Sarah bear a child at the age of ninety?” Genesis 17:17.

Sarah laughed too; her childbearing years were ancient history, So Sarah laughed to herself, thinking, “After I am worn out will I have pleasure, especially when my husband is old too?” Genesis 18:12.

A thousand days is nothing to the creator of the universe who knows the end from the beginning. It does not matter how long you have been waiting for your husband or wife to come and propose to you, it doesn't matter how many years you've married without fruit of the womb, it matter not if you have prayed for many years and no result for one thing or the other.

What matter is, Almighty God.
The question you should ask yourself is, is God involved?
Whatever our God have hands in always end with joy, praise, laughter and celebration.

Of course God wouldn’t appreciate their laughter of disbelief, but He undoubtedly joined in the laughter of rejoicing, of delight, and of awe as Abraham and Sarah celebrated the birth of their long-awaited son. Their joy at this precious baby, their gratitude for God’s faithfulness, and their amazement at his timing all bubbled over in laughter that couldn’t and shouldn’t have been contained.

Their mouths were filled with laughter because the Lord had done great things for them. And did you know that Isaac means “laughter; he laughs”?
May the Lord God make you laugh soon in Jesus name.

Thank God for those occasions when His blessings have caused your joy to overflow in laughter!

Have you ever laughed in disbelief? What blessing from God has made you laugh with rejoicing and delight? How has God shown such faithfulness to you that you couldn’t help but bust out laughing for joy?

Don't give up, remain fervent in your communication with God. Remain focus and stay positive. All will end with praise and thanksgiving.
