3 Reasons You Must Give Thanks to God

''Now therefore, our God, We thank You and praise Your glorious name''. 1 Chronicles 29:13 NKJV

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. Psalm 100:4

From Genesis to Revelation in the Bible, We are authorized  to always give thanks and be thankful. Because, the spirit of thanksgiving is one of the most distinctive marks of a Christian whose heart is attuned to the Lord.

Therefore, as we are celebrating Thanksgiving Day, below are three reasons you must always appreciate your creator for everything.

Number One, we are to be thankful for the material blessings God gives us.

Some people are never satisfied with what they have, but what a difference it makes when we realize that everything we have has been given to us by God!

''By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence''. 2 Peter 1:3 NLT

The Second reason, is to thank God for the people in your life. It is so easy to take them for granted, or to complain or become angry because they don’t meet our every wish.

But we need to give thanks for our spouse, our children, our relatives, and our friends. Most of all, thank God for Christ and His love for you.

The Third reason is to thank God in the midst of trials and ever persecution. We draw back from difficulties, but not one of us is exempt from trouble. Yet in the midst of trials we can thank God because we know He has promised to be with us and help us.

"When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the Lord will take care of me" Psalm 27:10 NKJV

You were made with a purpose, but you cannot accomplish that purpose without obedience. We must be willing to trust the Creator and step out, taking his hand by faith.

If you remain faithful and do not give up, however, the Bible promises a rich harvest in Galatians 6:9. Even if the outcome is different than you anticipated, God will work all things for your good (Romans 8:28), and you will unlock the adventure of a vibrant faith relationship.

For the Christian, every day is Thanksgiving Day!

Thanksgiving is one of the most distinctive marks of a Christian whose heart is attuned to the Lord.

Happy Thanksgiving Day to all our US readers.
