A New Beginning

Morning Devotion from the Desk of Emma Deekor: Early Morning With God (EMWG).

Bible Reading: 2 For. 5:17-19

Text:2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV:

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

We have just entered the second quarter of year 2024. Welcome to the month of April, the month of new beginnings. I feel some of us had new year resolutions or plans. And may be by now we are yet to see them fulfilled to our desired expectations.

How have you fared? I want you to be rest assured that all hope is not  lost yet. The only important thing is your relationship with God. If He is in charge of your life then, He will help you out. Have you put God in charge of your life and family?

Our bible text says " if any man be in Christ"; It is only in Christ you can experience newness after surrendering to Him completely and whole-heartedly. You must be a son of God to benefit from the new things He is about to dish out in April ( John 1:12).

Hear what God is saying to you in Isaiah 43:18-19 KJV:

"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. [19] Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."

Forget how January to March has been, my brother and sister. Have you faced wilderness experience and challenges since the year began? God is telling you, "I will make a way in the wilderness" So, do not get walked up and get worried unnecessarily. 

If you worry from now till next year, can you change anything (Luke 12:24-31).

What to do? In verse 31, we are advised not to get worried but hand over everything to God by seeking Him in holiness and righteousness. That is the way out brothers and sisters.

You want to experience new things for the month of April? Then surrender all your life to Jesus Christ, your saviour and Ebenezar (Helper) today.
