Serving God through Soul Winning

Early Morning With God (EMWG).
Morning Devotion from the Desk of Emma Deekor

Bible Reading: II Tim. 4: 1-5.
Text: Matthew 24:14 KJV
"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

From our text for today, you are now aware that the word of God MUST be preached and should reach every corner of the world. So, we all have an assignment to fulfill this call.

Probably, this is why rapture has not taken place. In order words, we are the ones delaying the second coming of Jesus Christ because we have not reached all the unreached. God does not want anybody to have excuses on the day of judgement. Ehh...., I did not hear, nobody told me about Christ.

From our discussion so far, preaching the gospel:

i) Is a command and compulsory .
God commanded in as recorded in Matthew 28:19 and Mark 16:15.

ii) It is a way to bear fruits. God said we should be fruitful and multiply (Gen. 1:26). Multiplication is not only physically but also spiritually. We should have spiritual children as well (John 15:16). We should also nurture them to grow in the LORD. This is a very good way to serve God.

iii) it is a display of wisdom. It is important we know that winning souls is a wise decision (Prov. 11:30). There are crowns of glory awaiting every soul winner on the last day and in eternity (I Pet. 5:1-4). It is written in verse 4: "And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away."

iv) It shows you love God by showing compassion. Sharing the good news with people indicate, you love God by loving those He created. It is only someone you love you share the word of God with. (Matt. 9:35-36).

You can serve God through any of these ways from today. Serve God and obtain the numerous benefits, the most important been eternal life.

Remind blessed and happy holidays. Stay safe and live righteous life.
